INTRODUCTION
• Good morning everyone, my name is Shubhya, let me introduce the topic to all of you
• The topic of today’s discussion is “How to improve Sports standard in India?”
• Friends lets start the discussion and contribute your valuable opinions.

Body
1. Adequate infrastructure is the need of the hour, better stadiums and excellent facilities should be constructed across the country. Even the human sources in schools and colleges are needed as to guide and train the students in sports at a very initial phase.
2. Awareness needs to be spread as how sports encourage positive attitude and boost the mental and physical health of the children. This would certainly let more students take up sports due to multiple health benefits.
3. Counselling programs should be kept where students are being guided as which sports suit them the best on the basis of their physical characteristics and abilities.
4. Regular competitions in sports for all ages should take place so as to uplift students in order to make them excel in sports of their choice
5. India does provide support and financial incentives for all sort of top sportspersons, but this is certainly not true in case of the ones struggling to rise at top.
6. Khel India scheme was started but there needs to be more investments at ground level, in order to improve sports infrastructure.
7. Coaches can be called as the backbone of sports, thus there should be proper training sessions for them, with the need to hire them in more number and even paid well.
8. Media needs to highlight all sports, and make people aware about all sports and not only cricket, they need to motivate children and youngsters to go for different sports. Encouragement of each and every sport is needed to improve the sports standards in our country.
9. Advanced equipment’s needs to be provided to the sportspersons of the country, so that they can be trained at good level as to compete with others.
10. The athletes who are undergoing training, needs to be continuously monitored in order to improve sports standard and fix the lacuna where they find any sort of drawbacks.
11. More sports academies are needed for games like chess, tennis, shooting. We do have lot of cricket and hockey training institutes, but what about other games? We need to be considerate about that too.
12. Health is the major factor that affects performance in any sports, if they are not fit they wont be able to perform well. Proper health chart and diet plan should be provided to the players.
13. Government alone cannot take the entire burden;the society and private institutions should also lend a helping hand to work for the welfare for the sports committee.
